Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, presided over a Change of Command ceremony on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where Col. Bruce MacNeill relinquished command and Lt. Col. Sarah Storm assumed command as the Center’s section commander, June 2, 2026.
The change of command ceremony dates back to the reign of Frederick the Great of Prussia. The largely symbolic ceremony is conducted in front of unit members so that all can see the appointment and announce the authority of their new leader. During the ceremony MacNeill pointed to his time in the DSH working side-by-side with the Center’s dedicated enlisted force as the highlight of his command tour.
