U.S. Coast Guardsmen working out of Scheduled Mission Station Fairport rescue a person in the water after noticing they were swimming and attempting to tow their disabled jet ski in Fairport Harbor on Lake Erie, May 19, 2026. Coast Guard watch standers noticed the individual at 2:10 p.m. and got underway to pull the person out of the water and then towed their jet ski to Fairport Port Authority.
