In addition to maintaining facilities and equipment, Shop 06 is also maintaining safety every day. Congratulations to NNSY’s Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Shop (Shop 06), winner of the February 2026 Safety Flag! The shop had no injuries or lost workday cases for the month. Captain Brandon Johnson, Deputy Shipyard Commander, presented the flag and congratulated shop members April 27. Safety is such a team effort for Shop 06 that seven individual safety awards were also presented recognizing efforts in mishap prevention, ensuring use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and providing improved equipment.
