Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Pacific (HSMWINGPAC) leadership and NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support convened Apr. 23, 2026, at Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg to synchronize investment strategies and sustainment plans for the H-60 helicopter program.
Capt. Jay Russo, HSMWINGPAC commodore, and Lt. Cmdr. Kyle Kuester met with the H-60 Integrated Weapon Support Team (IWST) to address fleet readiness and industrial base challenges amid high operational tempos. According to Cmdr. Austin Gage, H-60 IWST director, the collaboration is designed to proactively secure asset availability for warfighters as domestic and international demand for the platform increases.
The strategic discussions precede the anticipated expansion of the Seahawk 2027 Performance-Based Logistics contract.
