Airmen from the 76th Aerial Port Squadron, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, carry the “bone,” a pipe filled with water and golf balls and weighing nearly 100 pounds, up a hill during a Fit-to-Fight event of the Port Dawg Challenge on Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia, April 15, 2026. The PDC is a biennial Air Force Reserve Command competition, pitting the command’s aerial port squadrons and several international teams against each other across a variety of events, designed to showcase the skills necessary for air transportation specialists, or port dawgs, to accomplish the Air Force mission. The Fit-to-Fight event challenges competitors through a running course with five stations, each with different exercises and items to be carried by the team throughout the event, ending with the team-carry hill climb.
