U.S. Army Soldiers with the 390th Engineer Vertical Construction Company, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, patrol their sector using the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) in Del Rio, Texas, April 01, 2026. The utilization of the ISV increases mobility and allows units to cover more ground, enhancing detection of suspected illegal aliens attempting to cross the Southern Border. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
