U.S. Army Spc. Jahdaniel Garcia, 442nd Military Police Company, 104th Military Police Battalion, 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, organizes ropes after aiding in the rescue of three illegal aliens attempting to cross the U.S. southern border near Laredo, Texas, April 1, 2026. After the rescue, the illegal aliens were apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol agents. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
