Soldiers assigned to Fort Campbell conduct rappel training at The Sabalauski Air Assault School (TSAAS) on March 31, 2026, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. TSAAS, operated by the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), is the U.S. Army’s premier training center for air assault operations. The 10-day course focuses on helicopter insertion techniques, sling-load operations, and rappelling, graduating thousands of Soldiers each year. Established in 1974, the school is named in honor of Command Sgt. Maj. Walter James Sabalauski.
