Naval Hospital Bremerton’s Crews into Shape Challenge [for March] has Branch Health Clinic Everett’s Specialty Clinic team, Clinically Crushing It, continuing to hold on to their first place lead with 55 points, closely followed by Industrial Hygiene’s InHalation team pushed in second place with 53 points, with Health Promotion’s Cirque Du Sore Legs in third place with 52 points. A total of 11 teams, with nearly 100 participants are vying to build collective – and competitive - healthier habits through daily activity, nutrition and team-based motivation. The annual four week challenge, part of a Navy-wide Health Promotion and Wellness initiative embraced across all military branches, encourages participants to log physical activity, increase fruit and vegetable intake and complete weekly group workouts. Points are awarded for their efforts. Mental Health Directorate team, Affirmation Athletes, Main Operation Room team, Lettuce Operate and Branch Health Clinic Bangor Plaque Ops are steadily maintaining progress in the high 40s. “All teams are sailing steadily and once more, I expect to see jostling for the lead next week,” said Patricia Skinner, Health Promotion and Wellness Center department head. “Keep up the competitive, friendly spirit and remember to eat your veggies!” (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer)
