Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) hosted the in-person proposals for the "Big Ideas Challenge." This year, the challenge streamlined its focus into three core categories: IW Readiness, Advancing Warfighting Capabilities, and IW Alignment and Integration. Each proposal was rigorously evaluated by a panel of subject matter experts, civilian senior leadership, and senior enlisted leaders. Pictured from the left: IT1 Brennan McCool, LT Conor Cashin, IT2 Daniel Mercado, Mr. Christopher Dobry, Mr. Nicholas Wagner, Mr. Christopher Suda, VADM. Mike Vernazza, CTMC James Hawley, IS1 Nicholas Clayton, LCDR. Brett Jansen, IS1 Thomas Nelson, and IT1 Cameron Hood. Not in photo: CWO3 Fahmi Kaddour, LT Jonathan Raifaisen, Ms. Allison Wolff, CTIC Erik Oehrtman, CTRC William Noble, and CTR2 John Higgins. NAVIFOR is the Navy’s Information Warfare (IW) Type Command (TYCOM) responsible for generating agile and technically superior manned, trained, equipped, and certified combat-ready IW forces to ensure our Navy will decisively deter, compete, and win. IW underpins the entire spectrum of conflict, enables all warfighting missions, presents an asymmetrical advantage, and boasts many of our most forward-thinking and creative Naval professionals.
