Shop 98 of NNSY’s Lifting and Handling Department (Code 700) was recently honored with the December 2025 Safety Flag presented Feb. 24! Shop 98 is safely meeting the shipyard mission through implementing interactive scenarios to raise employee awareness of potential hazards; maintaining an ongoing dialogue with employees on safety vigilance and mishap prevention; continual checks of Shop 98 equipment and ensuring adherence to wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
