U.S. Army Col. Adam Latham, commander, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, welcomes students from Cesar Chavez Academy to 1st Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment, 3rd ABCT, 1AD, at Fort Bliss, Texas, Feb. 20, 2026. Students participated in a hands-on educational event where they explored U.S. Army equipment and training, including the M1A2 Abrams tank, M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, M249 and M240 machine guns, the M4 carbine and the M2 .50-caliber machine gun. Soldiers also demonstrated wheeled vehicles such as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle and the Light Medium Tactical Vehicle, along with combat medic training. Under the supervision of Soldiers, students learned how the equipment operates and gained insight into Army careers while building connections between the Army and the local community.
