U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment, 25th Infantry Division Artillery, conduct a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Rapid Infiltration (HIRAIN) from a Maneuver Support Vessel (Light) during Lightning Surge 2, demonstrating the Division’s ability to sustain long-range precision fires from a maritime platform in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility. The iteration validated a new approach to projecting combat power from sea to shore and supported integration of a Next Generation Command and Control prototype.
