MADIGAN ARMY MEDICAL CENTER, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. -- On February 11, 2026, Madigan Army Medical Center Population Health Nurses, including Ms. Tanya Porter and Ms. Marisa Burgos-Martinez from Madigan’s Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Clinics, successfully hosted an event focused on health promotion and disease prevention. During the event, patient education materials were provided on key topics, including hypertension, diabetes (with a focus on HbA1c management), cholesterol, and nutrition.
A total of 77 individuals attended the event, with 11 participants opting to have their blood pressure checked. This initiative demonstrated strong support for population health goals by empowering our patients with knowledge and resources to manage their health effectively.
