The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds practice their diamond formation over Edwards AFB, Calif., Jan. 28. Thunderbird 1, Lt. Col. Alexander Prevendar, leads the formation, with Thunderbirds 2 and 3, Majs. Joshua Burress and Brandon Maxson respectively, flying inverted on the wings. The Thunderbirds finish up their annual two weeks at Edwards as part of their winter training, which involves deployment of about 70 team members and nine F-16s and associated equipment.
