Soldiers assigned to the 1452nd HET Transportation Company, assists with towing a semi-truck using a M984A4 recovery truck in response to Winter Storm Fern in Dodson, N.C., Jan. 25, 2026. The M984A4 recovery truck can recover vehicles weighing in excess of ten tons. The lift and tow system allows recovery of disabled vehicles in as little as two to three minutes. The NCNG supports its state partners, to include the Department of Emergency Management, the Department of Transportation and the State Highway Patrol with shelter operations, commodity transportation and distribution, communication support, road closure support, power generation support and cyber security protection.
