Randy Connolly, Director of Environmental Health, NMCFHPC, with a Meritorious Service Medal for his outstanding meritorious service while serving as the Director of Environmental Health during an award ceremony, January 7, 2026, at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. Connolly led a Directorate of three departments of senior scientists, physicians, and professionals through high-visibility, complex national projects, providing critical risk assessments to protect service members and their families. He pioneered transformative initiatives, including the Navy’s first blast overpressure exposure monitoring program, a comprehensive update to Medical Matrix Online, and a redesigned Occupational Medicine Fundamentals Course delivering no-cost training to 76 clinicians.
