A Marine Corps UH-1 Huey helicopter flies above a tree line where insurgents are believed to be positioned May 29, here. Afghan National Army Brig. Gen. Wasea, commanding general, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, and his Afghan National Security Forces counterparts planned and launched Operation Aoqad Se Hasht [38 EAGLE] to push the enemies of Afghanistan out of Sangin. The operation has spanned nearly a week during which ANSF countered the unprovoked attacks, gained the initiative, and advanced from multiple positions to envelope their enemies and forced them into retreat across the Helmand River.
