U.S. Navy Sailors suture a Finnish service member’s facial laceration

U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Zachery Matthews, left, teaches suture techniques to HM3 Moses Montiel, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Gylto, Finland, Dec. 1, 2025. CLB-6 medical team hosted a battle aid station during Freezing Winds to assess simulated and real trauma patients to ensure the medical readiness and rapid aid to service members. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Matthews is a native of Florida. Montiel is a native of California. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Makayla Elizalde)
