Mass Communication Specialist Seamen Jesse Sharpe and Ace Rheavme host the live Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society's 2008 Radiothon on one of U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay's two radio stations,"103.1 The Blitz." The Radiothon raised $11,000 in emergency funds for service members serving at the naval station and at Joint Task Force Guantanamo, one of the base's tenant commands. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
