The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the USO and 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum Historical Collection inside the Heritage Center on April 19, 2007, provided community members with a glimpse of a new Black Hawk helicopter display in the foyer. The Heritage Center reopened on Oct. 21, 2025, after a yearlong renovation of the USO. It’s a new look for center, but the Black Hawk display remains suspended above, greeting visitors passing by.
