WASHINGTON D.C. — Spc. Perry Solinski, a Signal Support Systems Specialist (25U) with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 74th Troop Command, is supporting Joint Task Force District of Columbia during the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Mission. The mission brings together service members and community partners to enhance public safety and improve neighborhoods across the nation’s capital. In this role, Solinski serves as the radio transmission operator for the Task Force leadership, maintaining secure communications and providing equipment training to incoming National Guard members from other states.
Outside of uniform, Solinski works for the Army Enterprise Service Desk, providing IT support across the Army and recently completing his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University. “It’s not just about security, it’s also about making our city beautiful again and taking on community projects that need extra hands,” said Solinski. “Whether it’s helping Soldiers in the field or civilians with their IT systems, I know I’m contributing to something greater than myself.” (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt.
