Fahey Cabin - Built in the 1870´s by early pioneer rancher Michael Fahey, the cabin served for years as an outpost in early-day summer cattle grazing operations, then in 1938 came under Forest Service administration through a land exchange, and stayed in use until the 1970´s.
Located 3 miles Southeast of Long Barn at Wright´s Creek crossing the Fahey Cabin at Wright´s Creek has been a landmark for over a century, and served as residence for Michael J. Fahey and his family during summer cattle operations. Back in those days, the general area within a ten-mile radius of the cabin was part of a greater community of family and neighbors who spent the summer season looking after their cattle and enjoying camp life in the mountains.
