Jacob Murphy, the Navy Wound Warrior adaptive reconditioning and community outreach specialist posed for a photo in his office to highlight the upcoming Navy Wounded Warrior expo. Service members, DoD employees and their families have a unique opportunity, Sept. 23-26, to experience the same adaptive sports of Wounded Warriors who train and compete on their journey to the DoD Warrior Games. Navy Wounded Warrior is hosting its first-ever adaptive sports expo for Navy Region Hawaii along with a resource fair and guest speaker at various locations on Joint Base Pearl Harbor – Hickam (JBPHH). The Wounded Warrior Games is an annual adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans from all branches of the U.S. military to enhance their recovery and rehabilitation and foster a sense of community and inspiration.
