Acting Director Dr. David Smith, Defense Health Agency, meets with Maj. Gen. Scott Malcolm, Head of the Royal Canadian Medical Service and Surgeon General, at the Defense Health Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, Sept. 16, 2025. The meeting was a recognition of common security interests and cooperation between the two ally nations. At the conclusion of the bilateral meeting, a data sharing agreement was signed to support a comprehensive trauma registry that leverages de-identified casualty data involving both militaries.
