U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Michael Gheller is a staff weather officer (SWO) assigned to the 1st Combat Weather Squadron Detachment 3 at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Originally from Johnstown, Colorado, Gheller is the military's eyes in the sky through providing critical meteorological intelligence to military operations. Driven by a family legacy of Air Force service and following in the footsteps of his father and grandfathers, Gheller traded a corporate career for a life of service.
