Seaman Keanne Q. Douglas crosses his wands to signal a Marine amphibious assault vehicle to hold position during a launch from the well deck of the amphibious transport dock USS Juneau (LPD 10). Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and members of the Philippine Marines Corps are conducting operations in the early phases of exercise Balikatan 08. Juneau is part of the Essex Expeditionary Strike Group and is participating in the bilateral exercise between the Republic of the Philippines and the United States.
