Staff sergeants Joseph G. Coates, left, and Philip Douglass, both with the 177th Fighter Wing Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, New Jersey Air National Guard, prepare demolition shots for use to render safe two 2,000-pound practice bombs and 39 500-pound BDU-50 practice bombs at Detachment 1, Warren Grove Range, N.J., May 3, 2013. The EOD airmen use the render safe procedure to verify the practice bombs contents so they can later be processed for reclamation. The 177th airmen retrieved all the ordnance that had been dropped at the range during the past year April 29 through May 3, 2013. Warren Grove Range is operated by the 177th Fighter Wing, and provides a training environment for all military and ground combat forces. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt. Mark C.
