USAG Daegu recognized Mr. Kang Min Chae, one of our Firefighters, for his outstanding emergency response skills, in a ceremony on August 1st, 2025 at the Fire Station on Camp Walker, Daegu, South Korea. While off duty, he observed an elderly woman in distress and choking. He immediately went to her aid, performing the Heimlich maneuver and clearing her airway.
