A group of Space Base Delta 3, Los Angeles Air Force Base, members brought smiles and school spirit as it distributed free backpacks filled with grade-specific supplies to eligible military families, DoD civilians and contractors. Held in the LA AFB Courtyard, the event helped 369 pre-registered students head into the school year prepared and confident.
“This really jumpstarts their school year,” said Ida Humphrey, LA AFB School Liaison Program Manager, as the base reaffirmed its support for education and family readiness. The initiative is part of the 61st Force Support Squadron’s commitment to the broader Space Base Delta 3 community, which includes approximately 5,000 school-aged students.
