A cadet of the People's Liberation Army Armored Forces Academy shows Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta the most difficult medals to win while in the academy during Panetta's tour of the barracks in Beijing, China, on Sept. 19, 2012. Panetta also met with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping and his defense counterparts to discuss regional security issues of interest to both nations. Panetta visited Tokyo, Japan, before continuing to Beijing and will travel to Auckland, New Zealand, on a weeklong trip to the Pacific.
