Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta looks through a diary that once belonged to Vietnamese soldier Vu Dinh Doan in Hanoi, Vietnam, on June 4, 2012. The diary will be returned when Panetta meets with Vietnamese Minister of National Defense Senior Lt. Gen. Phuong Quang Thanh to exchange artifacts taken by service members from both nations during the Vietnam War. The diary has been in the United States since the end of the Vietnam War.
