    U.S. Marines conduct immediate-action drills after a helicopter insert during exercise Lava Viper at Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii, on Jan. 20, 2012. The Marines are assigned to Gulf Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. Lava Viper is a battalion-level combined-arms training exercise to better prepare Marines for upcoming deployments.
