U.S. Army Spc. Alexander Oliveira provides security at an intersection while Afghan Uniformed Police lead the way on a joint patrol in Mehtar Lam district, Laghman Province, Afghanistan, on Sept. 26. The Police Transition Assistance Team attached to the Laghman Provincial Reconstruction Team is responsible for the training and mentorship of the local Afghan police and routinely conducts joint training with them.
