U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Oliver Smith, a pararescueman assigned to the 31st Rescue Squadron, and a downed F-15 Eagle aircraft pilot are hoisted onto an HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter during a crisis management exercise off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, on Oct. 8, 2008.
