Pfc. Chris Anderson keeps an eye on the street from the second level of an abandoned home in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, on Dec. 18, 2006. Anderson and his fellow soldiers from Apache Troop, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas, and the 5th Iraqi Army Division are conducting joint dismounted patrols in the region to clear abandoned buildings and to suppress insurgent activity.
