A group of first-responders-- military, fire-fighters and police, who where first on the scene of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the Pentagon-- salute from the roof of the building during ceremonies marking the 5th anniversary, on Sept. 11, 2006. The ceremony featured remarks by Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace.
