The Landing Craft Air Cushion, more commonly known as an LCAC, is returning personnel and equipment to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) during Exercise Balikatan 2006. More than 5,000 U.S. and Philippine service members are participating in the bilateral exercise designed to improve humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and to promote interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States military.
