A U.S. Navy flight deck handler guides an F/A-18 Hornet aircraft into position for a catapult launch from the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) underway in the Persian Gulf on Jan. 19, 2006. Roosevelt and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 8 are conducting maritime security operations in the Persian Gulf. The Hornet is attached to Strike Fighter Squadron 15 of Naval Air Station Oceana, Va.
