U.S. Navy aviation boatswain's mates scrub the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA-5) after flight operations in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Southern California on Dec. 14, 2005. The scrubbing removes the built-up dirt, hydraulic fluid and jet fuel from the deck.
