    The afterburners of a Navy F/A-18 Hornet glow as the aircraft launches from one of the waist catapults of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) on Nov. 25, 2005. Roosevelt and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 8 are conducting flight operations in the Persian Gulf. The Hornet is assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 87 of Naval Air Station Oceana, Va.
