    Hundreds of buses disgorge thousands of Hurricane Katrina evacuees at Fort Chaffee Arkansas National Guard post on Sept. 4, 2005. More than 10,000 evacuees took up temporary residence at Fort Chaffee. Department of Defense units are mobilized as part of Joint Task Force Katrina to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's disaster relief efforts in the Gulf Coast areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
