Senegal Army soldiers and U.S. Army Special Operations Command-Europe soldiers perform a static-line parachute jump from an MC-130 Talon above Dakar, Senegal, during Exercise Flintlock '05 on June 18, 2005. Flintlock is a series of multi- national military exercises conducted throughout the Trans-Saharan region of Africa, with concentration on ground and air operations, land navigation, human rights training and collaboration between militaries. Algeria, Mali, Mauritania and Chad are participating in the exercise with Senegal and the U.S.
