Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Lawrence Di Rita (right) politely refuses to comment further on any issues relating to the Base Realignment and Closure decisions during a Pentagon press briefing on May 10, 2005. Di Rita said Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld would be making statements on that subject within the next six days. Di Rita and Joint Staff Director for Operations Lt. Gen. James T.
