An Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt releases chaff and flares during a close air support mission over the Nevada Test and Training Ranges at Indian Springs, Nev., on May 4, 2005. The Thunderbolt, more commonly called a Warthog, is the first Air Force aircraft specially designed for close air support of ground forces and can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles. This aircraft is assigned to the 57th Wing, 66th Weapons Squadron.
