    U.S. Navy Cmdr. Ron Hicks uses his stethoscope to listen to the heart of a baby during an examination in Santa Lucia, El Salvador, on March 23, 2005. Hicks is examining El Salvadorans during a medical readiness training exercise. The exercise is part of the Joint Task Force New Horizons Exercise project 'Para los Ninos' which is contributing two new schools and three clinics in areas of San Vicente that were hit by earthquakes. Hicks is deployed from the Operational Support Hospital Unit, Great Lakes, Ill.
