Navy aircrewmen Petty Officer 2nd class Joseph Broderick and Petty Officer 3rd class Christopher Lovell keep a watchful eye below as a cargo pallet is attached to the hook of their MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter during a vertical replenishment operation in the Atlantic Ocean on Dec. 6, 2004. The Knighthawk is deployed aboard the USS Seattle (AOE 3) from Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 8. The Seattle is a fast combat support ship that provides logistical support to the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) Carrier Strike Group. Broderick is a Navy aviation machinist's mate and Lovell an aviation electrician's mate.
