Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Eric K. Shinseki (right) joined Secretary of the Army Thomas E. White (left) in the Pentagon briefing room, on July 12, 2001, to announce the Army installations that have been selected to host the next four Interim Brigade Combat Teams. The Teams will be quickly deployable, by air or sea, and based at installations which were selected to put the forces in close geographic proximity to Air Force and Navy transport assets.
