Capt. Erika Dance-Walker (center), U.S. Army, explains the Patriot Missile system to coalition military members during the Exercise Bright Star '99/00 static display day at Cairo West Air Base, Egypt, on Oct. 18, 1999. Bright Star is a joint/combined command post and tactical field exercise in Egypt involving over 50,000 participants from 11 countries. The annual exercise is designed to improve readiness and interoperability between U.S., Egyptian and coalition forces. Dance-Walker is deployed for the exercise from Bravo 2-43 Battery, Air Defense Artillery, Fort Bliss, Texas.
