Marty Chanik, commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65), monitors the first wave of strike aircraft launching from the flight deck in support of Operation Desert Fox on Dec. 17, 1998. The Enterprise and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 3 is operating the Persian Gulf.
